On December 18th, amidst all of the holiday havoc, we honored a sweet church tradition and dedicated SS to the Lord. Meaning we publicly committed to teaching him about Jesus as we raise him - to being his first disciplers. And also publicly recognized that, first and foremost, SS belongs to the Lord. My friend wrote a letter to each of her children following their dedications, eloquently and honestly discussing this tradition; and because she already said it so well, I'll just point you to her words here and here, while I stick to the photos.
